Gif

Reflection
This project wasn't cooperating with me, and was being a pain in the butt. It wouldn't let me post it on here, so I posted it to youtube then I shared that video here. Which I guess works out, but it was still a pain. I think that this was a pretty fun project besides that. I like having the freedom to make the Gif be about whatever I wanted. So, I chose to do my Gif on a series of pictures that I took in my backyard of the sun setting behind some flowering bushes. I made it so it looks like the opposite of a sunset. This was fun, but I did forget to make it loop more than once. Next time, I'll be sure to make it loop for infinity! Thank you again for such a fun year! See you next year in yearbook!!!

Reflection
Was it hard? What were your challenges? What made it easy for you? Minimum of 5

This project was semi-hard. I had some help from my friend. However, i still very much dislike photoshop. I liked how it was simple enough in theory. But trying it for yourself is a whole other thing. It was easy enough to get three images where my camera didnt move. However, i had to retake some pictures becasue my model was blocking herself in some of her poses. I would like to do this kind of project again. However, i will say that i almost didnty even want to do this kind of project. Overall, id give it a 6.4/10.

Warm Ups Part Four

Warm Up #55
What jobs can photographers have? List 5 occupations that photographers can have:
Photographers can have multiple kinds of jobs. They can range from portraits to industrial to landscape. Some pay better than others. Some are much more fun. Some are so Time consuming. Others take half a second. Here are some examples.
Five specific kinds of photographers are:
1 Fashion
2 Landscape
3 Real Estate
4 Action/Sports
5 Wildlife

Warm Up #56
What publication (magazine) would you want to take photos and write for? Why? What do you like about that publication?
I would want to take pictures for National Geographic magazine. This is because I love the variety of pictures that this magazine has. The kinds of pictures are also right up my alley. I love landscape and animal photography. I love animals and nature. So naturally I love landscape and wildlife photography. I like the way that they publish their magazines as well. Their format and layout are very appealling to the eye./They always make their pictures look so much better and I love the captions that they use.

Warm Up #57
What are your plans for the weekend(mothers day)?
My plans for this weekend are very open ended. My brother may or may not come down to visit depending on if he can get that day off or not. He is currently at Job Corps and he has to take a personal day to be able  to leave campus. I am also scheduled to work Sunday for 8 hours. So I wont be able to attend the beginning half of the party that me, my dad and my sister put together for my mom. I made her a bracelet and a short video as my gift. If we are feeling like it, we may go to Souplataion for dinner on Saturday after church.

Warm Up #58
Take a look at these easy "photo hacks." What do you think? Which one would you try first, and why?
think that these "hacks" are okay. I liked using a CD to make a flash. I also like using a towel to drag a camera across a desk or table. I also liked useing a piece of glass and then spraying it with water to create a "lonely" look. I would try this one first. It seems easy enough and I have all item needed for it. I disliked the idea of the bx with tissue paper. It seemed to excessive.
Warm Up #59
What are some things that you already do? What are some new things that you learned?
Some things that I already do is wait for the perfect time to take a picture somewhere that is overrun with tourists. The article said to wait "Wait until some tourists leave your area or some bright tram passes by..." This was something that I was already doing even before I read said article. Another thing that I was doing was using what they called, "contre-jour," which is using a light source behind the model to create a softer tone to the photo. Something new that I learned was the difference between the "golden hour" and the "blue hour". The former is one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset and the latter is one hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset. This was something that I had had an idea about but never really new the name of.

Warm Up #60
What are your plans for the summer?
My plans for the summer consist of working and spending time with my family when I am not working. And of course, yearbook camp. Which I as actually very excited about attending. I cannot wait till next year. I have very high hopes for next years yearbook! For summer, I may also visit some colleges to try and finalize where I woudl like to go after senior year. I want to stay in-state somewhere but I also want to get out of San Diego. I was thinking of going to Mesa then transferring after 2 years. This summer, I will also try to stay in touch with friends and keep each other up to date about everything thats going on with out lives.

Warm Up #61
Check out these interesting photography facts. Which FIVE are the most interesting to you?
The five that most interest me would be:
1. long exposure
2. take many pictures
3.. The first every digital camera to be created was in December 1975
4.The oldest known photograph to have a person (human) in the shot was clicked in Paris in 1838.
5. There are more than 240 billion photos that have been uploaded on Facebook

Warm Up #62
If you could do one of our projects over, which one would it be? Why? What would you do differently?
I would do space. I would do it correct this time. I would take it of the beach. This is b
Warm Up #63
What are your plans for the long weekend?
My plans for the long weekend are to work and relax. Lately I have been going  though tough time. So, I need some time to just sit back and take a breath. I don't necessarily want to work, but it does take your mind off of things. I also need some time away from the family as well.Sometimes, you just need to get away.  And they should let you. Some time to reset yourself and to get back to where you are comfortable. That is what I will be doing over my long weekend. Being away from school and people. Just being with myself and my thoughts.

Warm Up #64
Look at the photos below. Do you like the distortions? Do you think these types of photos are classified as "photography," or as "art?" Why?
I do not believe that this kind of image can be classified as photography. I think that it better fits in the realm of art. This is because of the amount of distortions hat the photo has undergone. Yes I think that they are creative. Yes I believe that they look very interesting. But no, I don't think that they should be categorized by "photography". Rather, art fits better. This is because photography has to do more with what was photographed. Art is what happens after the photo was taken. Just like these images.

Warm Up #65
What are some ideas you hadn't thought of?
Some green screen ideas that I hadn't thought of were placing the model in a movie scene. Specifically an action movie scene with the model posing as if they were in the movie. Another idea was to place the model interacting with a villain or a criminal. Placing the model with a villian as if they were thinking of taking over the world together. Another idea was to place the model in space and have them fighting alien invaders. Another idea would be to place them alongside heroes. Such as the Avengers or Justice League. I also hadn't thought of making the model fly. I could have made her jump and then used that image and placed her somewhere in the air. These are some green screen ideas that I hadnt thought of.

Green Screen Backgrounds

Reflection

Although I had wanted to know how to do this, I still very much dislike photoshop. I was able to finally figure out how to manipulate the pictures, but sometimes photoshop is so picky and it doesn't cooperate. A challenge was make sure that all I wanted was selected and nothing that I didn't want was selected. This was difficult because the tools weren't cooperating and the pictures sometimes werent the same size. I eventually got it to work. However, I gave up halfway through and just decided to use one pose from my model even though I had several. This was a difficult project until I found out how to make the photoshop tools do what I actually wanted them to do. Overall, I would do this again but not anytime soon. It was fun, but also frustrating and I would not like to go through that again, any time soon, thank you very much.

Photoshop Filters

glowing edges

diffuse glow

                                           Reflection
This project was surprisingly fun for me. I love having the power to manipulate a photo to exactly how I want it to look. It was hard to choose specific filters because they were all so very fun to play around with. My favorite ones had to be the ones that changed the picture so drastically. I decided not to post those ones because my sister asked me to do specific filters so she could use them herself. I still saved all of the other more crazier pictures though, for future use. Overall, this was a very fun and interactive projec that I would definitely;y recommend for future classes to do. 10/10 would do it all over again.

Photoshop

Mobabella Photoshop

Reflection:
I chose this idea because my sister loves all sorts of posters. So, i decided to make a poster of her for her. I wanted to do a more difficult one but it proved to be too hard as the directions were very confusing and hard to follow. This one was also slightly hard to follow. I was going to make her have a filter too but ran out of time. I will say that I am not a fan of Photoshop. I strongly dislike it. However it does have it's perks. I guess it just isn't for me. Overall, this was an okay project.

Light Painting

Reflection
What were your challenges with this project?  What was fun about it?
For this project, it was difficult to figure out what kind of "painting" I wanted to do. It was also difficult to make that image in my mind come to life, as the painting was slightly harder than I initially thought it to be. However, this project was also super fun. I loved being the painter for the other pictures. It seemed like it took forever to take the pictures but it was all worth it to see the outcomes. I loved having the freedom to pick what exactly I want to have in the picture. Overall, this was an amazingly fun project to do and would definitely recommend it in the future.

Studio Portrait

Reflections: What were your challenges doing this project? What was your favorite part? Why?

A challenge for this project was being able to direct my model in the poses that I wanted.  Sometimes the pictures would just come out "wrong" if that makes sense. They would come out looking kinda funky so I would have to redo them. Another challenge was figuring out which props to have my model use that would adequately convey who she was and what she values. My favourite part was coming up with the different poses for her to take depending on what prop she had to hold for each. I also liked being able to boss her around for once, seeing as its usually her that bosses me. All in good fun though, we aren't bullies. :)

Warm Ups Part Three

Warm Up #42
Check out this like of photos of “’70s Rebellious Youth” What are your observations about the photos? What would photos of today’s “rebellious youth” look like?
Most of these pictures have the teens involved in smoking. They are also very relaxed and laid back for this time period. There was also a photo of a white girl being with a black boy. This would have been considered very forward for their time and was usually frowned upon. I also saw some "provocative" outfits that the girl was wearing. I doubt that their mothers would have approved if they saw them wearing what they were. I also noticed the closeness that appeared in the pictures. No longer did people keep apart, but they acted on the impulse to be closer to the people that they liked or loved.  They weren't afraid to be expressive with themselves.

Warm Up #43
How was this photo taken?
I believe that this picture was taken using a long exposure. However, that would only account for the background of the photo. I think then a new picture was placed on top of that picture. It would have to be done in photoshop. Using two layers. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the clear background and the clear profile picture of the dancer. Also, using two layers would give you the opportunity to make one more prominent. This can give the photo depth and perspective.

Warm Up #44
Tell me about a funny, random, or scary encounter you’ve had with an animal.
I have always loved animals. I have been told that I have a sort of "connection" with them. However, I do not like them when they hide their bowls from me when it comes time to feed them and they are making me late for work. This happened a few weeks ago when I was dog-sitting for one of my neighbors. I had gone over at about 4:45 p.m. and I only had about 15 minutes to be with them before I had to leave for work. However, Gracie, a German Shepard mix, had other ideas. She had somehow managed to hide her bowl in the basket that is at least 4ft high. I still have no idea how she did it because it's in the most awkward position and surrounded by tools and such. I had looked just abut everywhere for it that afternoon and Gracie was no help whatsoever. She would just walk all about me whining and wagging her tail. I finally was able to locate it because I guess she got bored or hungry or something and she walks to the basket and started to scratch at it. I ended up being 20 minutes late just because she wanted to play, but I wasn't angry at her. She's still my good girl, :)

Warm Up #45
We are going to be doing another set of portraits soon, using the lighting studio in the back of the room. What kind of portraits would you like to take?
I would like to take portraits that don't necessarily focus solely on the persons face, or upper body like traditional portraits are made. I want to diverge from that path. I would like to try and do something differently. Maybe perhaps one that focuses on some of their hobbies or likes. Or Something about what their favorite place to go to is. Or maybe something that makes them them. I woudl also like to play around with lighting, and maybe make shaodws that can play aorund with.

Warm Up #46
We are going to start a studio portrait project. I 've had you look at a few sites like this before, but take a look at these and jot down 2 things from each site that you think will be helpful. The first one has more to do with how you work with your subject. The second one focuses more on camera stuff.
https://digital-photography-school.com/10-ways-to-take-stunning-portraits/
https://www.techradar.com/how-to/photography-video-capture/cameras/14-portrait-photography-tips-you-ll-never-want-to-forget-1320776

From the first site, I liked the advice of playing with lighting and eye contact. I think that lighting can make or break a picture. Also, it can make your pictures 1000 times better if you do it in the right way. Thats not necessarily to say that there is a right and wrong way to take pictures, there isn't, but there also is a right and wrong way to use lighting. I also liked the idea of playing with eye contact because it can make a picture more intimate or mysterious depending on where the model is looking, or better yet, not looking. From the second site, I liked the advise on aperture and creative composition. I love making the background to my pictures blurry and only the main subject in focus. I also like messing around with how many tings that I can fit into one specific shot or how little I can put into pictures.

Warm Up #47
For your warm up today, look at the links below and tell me which category seems most interesting and why. You need to COPY and PASTE the links, don't click on them.
The category that I find the most interesting would have to be the urban and street photography. I love baing able to take pictures of some of the intimate moments that can happen on the streets of this city. Some of the best photographs are captured this way, when people think that others arent paying attention but you are. Its also amazing to see how people really react when they think that no one is watching them. I know that that may sound slightly creepy, but i love people watching. You can see who people really are when they are alone and being themselves.

Warm Up #48
What's been going on with you lately?
This is a kind of question that has multiple answers. Firstly, there is the answer that anyone would want to hear, that you are good and getting your work done and just a little stressed, but that's to be expected due to it being Junior year in high school and all. Secondly, there is the answer that you aren't so good and that you are struggling and having a hard time with things and that you are slightly falling behind. Thirdly, and lastly, there is the answer that your mental illness is getting in the way of almost everything you do and making it so very difficult to just get up in the morning and let you eat something or not and then starves you and makes you cry despite nothing really happening.
School has been hard, drama is constantly following me everywhere, and work has been hell. But I will get by as I usually do, despite the fact that I do have a mental illness and autism and a whole hell of a lot of other problems breathing down my neck 24/7. Its the way that things have always been.

Warm Up #49
We will begin doing some Photoshop stuffs in a few weeks. Brainstorm three ideas of things you might want to learn how to do. You don't need to know how to do the things, just come up with three things you would want to learn.
Three things that I would like to learn to do in photoshop:
1. How to edit out things like a chair to make it seem like a person is floating or walking on air.
2. How to give someone multiple arms or feet o hands to make them seem like a monster.
3. How to make a web design.
I believe that it would be so fun to be able to make a web design, or wipe out someones entire face or arm to make it seem like they are a zombie. I feel like photoshop is a kind of place where you can just mess around as you go. It would be fun to learn how to make things that aren't exactly real though. Let your imagination run wild is one of the best feelings in the world. You are able to do literally anything.

Warm Up #50
How have you been editing your photos? Are you still using Lightroom? Do you use an app on your phone or just the basic editing programs on your computer or phone? What do you usually do to edit your photos?
Yes, I have been editing my pictures. And yes I am still using Lightroom. I first start with making sure that the picture is neither too bright nor too dark unless I want to use those as an effect for something, then I would make I slightly more darker. Otherwise, I would try to find an in-between balance that would make the picture seem to have been taken in just the right circumstances so that it would have come out "perfect". I then fix the highlights and the color contrasts to bring out what I would like to highlight and accentuate.

Warm Up #51
What's your favorite drink and from where?
My favorite drink is a hot chocolate made from scratch that my grandma used to make. She would use chocolate and sugar and other ingredients that she would never tell us. I guess that that was what made it so special. Sh would then proceed to put marshmallows and cinnamon and whipped cream on top and if we were good she would also sometimes add mini chocolate chips. It was so delicious and creamy and thick and amazing. I haven't had it in a few years since we last went back east for Christmas but it is well worth the wait. it just makes it that much sweeter.

Warm Up #52
Describe the photo. What are other ways to photograph "portraits" without showing faces?
This picture is very relaxed. I feel like I am witnessing the birth of a piece of art that no one should see before it is finished. This picture seems like something out of a fairy tale, the way that it looks so serene and filtered. There are many ways to photograph a portrait and not necessarily have the picture be of someone's face. You could take pictures of things that they like to do, or have them be at places that they are notorious for staying at. You could also photograph them being in their element. This would include a track athlete on the field running, or a writer at a desk surrounded by a million piles of papers and messy hair and a cup of coffee by their side while they smile slightly as they are scribbling frantically on a napkin because god forbid that they write on a used piece of paper that they call their "idea" paper.

Warm Up #53Peruse through her website, http://www.rachelvanoven.com and tell me something you like about her work, or something that seems interesting. She also has a Facebook page.
I found this photo on her FB, and what do you think I love about this collage?
Something that I found interesting is that she places what seems to be drawn hearts in white over some of the faces of her models. Whether this is to protect their identity or to add to her effect I have no idea. However, it does add a little something to her pictures. I think that it adds a sense of wonder or mystery to each photograph. I also like how most if not all of her pictures are subdued in the sense that they have blurred lines and movement in them or are covered using a filter.

Warm Up #54  If you could only photograph one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could photograph one thing for the rest of my life, I would have to choose nature. Probably landscape photography, or perhaps just street photography. I like landscape photography because you have so many choices to pick from depending on what you want to capture. But at the same time I love having the opportunity to take candid pictures while roaming the streets of the city. If I had to choose, I would pick street photography because it has so many different topics all smushed into one. You can photograph people, homeless or just walking about. You could photograph grafitti, images painted illegally onto the surfaces of society, or even the way that the laundry dries hanging a hundred feet up in the air. Or the way that they bikes all line up until that one that just has to be the opposite way.

Animals

Reflection

The difference between taking animal pictures versus people pictures is that you can't tell them what pose to take or what kind of expression you want to capture. They just do what they do. They are free spirits that won't obey any human command given to them. You have to take multiple pictures because they are constantly moving. You have to be quick to take the photographs as well because they could move and the perfect picture could be lost. The process includes trying not to get too upset when thry don't do what you want and complimenting them when thry do. You have to have patience with the animal, like you have to with a person. However,  you cant yell at the animal if they dont do as you wanted them to or youll lose theuuir trust.

Tiny Beautiful Things

 Original                                                                                                Edited

Reflection
I chose to photograph things that I found to be beautiful. I have just recently finished reading one of my favourite books for like the fifth time and decided to base my project off of the book. The book is called Tiny Beautiful Things by Ceryl Strayed. I at first wanted to picture things off of the letter titles but that deemed a little too difficult with only a week to do the project. So instead i photographed things based off of the title, things that I found to be beautiful despite their small size. I think that this is important because it teaches you to accept the small things and to always appreciate everything that you have. A change wad finding just the right kinds of things to take pictures of. I had many things in mind but none of them would turn out the way that I wanted them to. Overall this was a very fun project and hope before this semester is up we get to do another free prjocet such as this one.

Warm Ups Part Two

Warm Up #27
Our next project is going to be a photographic narrative. Google it. What is it, and how would you go about doing one?
A photographic narrative is a story told through pictures. I can go about this by putting my camera on continuous mode and taking many pictures. I will make sure I capture the plot of is happening in my picture sequence. I can then take from all those pictures the ones that I believe tell the story the best. This kind of project will be similar to a comic although it won't have the words. This kind of project will probably be one that I enjoy because I like telling a story with my pictures. It will also be hard to choose which twelve pictures that I like the most. I will let my pictures tell the story that I wouldn't be able to if I just wrote it.

Warm Up #28
What are the differences between these triptychs? Which one do you like best and why?
The most obvious difference between these triptychs would be that they all consist of different types of subjects. The first one has a tree being its main focus, the second has different parts of a man as its center and the third one focuses on a fictional being. They are all also in different scenes. The first being in nature while the remaining two are focused on being just with the subject being photographed. Another stark difference that I saw was that two out of the three pictures have people, whether they are real or imaginary as being the main subject in the picture. The third picture mainly focuses on a plant being in nature. A final difference I saw was that the two pictures with people in them are black and white and the picture of the trees are in colour. I believe that this brings out the distinct shades of color in nature and it makes the pictures containing only people more dramatic.

Warm Up #29
What do you do when you are bored?
When I am bored, I tend to write and read a lot. As a result, I have read everything from biographies to short stories to novels and to poetry. I have also written my fair share of short stories and poetry, and have even attempted to write my own novel. Although it didn't go as planned, it was still a super fun experience. I also like to just go out and take as many pictures as I can. I don't focus them, I don't mess with them, I just point and shoot. Sometimes, I get some of my best, and cool looking photos this way. I find that it is so much more relaxing to do this than to have a plan and have to Gert a certain kind and amount of pictures. When I am bored, I also tend to think a whole lot. And sometimes that isn't the best thing to do, not when you have a very real mental illness that whispers things to you that would break a weaker person. But sometimes those things still get to you no matter how hard you try to ignore them. And then its back in the cycle of doing other things but then always go back to thinking.

Warm Up #30
Describe the photo. This photo has an interesting perspective, and no Photoshop was used. How was it created? What elements do you see and where? (When I ask, I want the dominant elements. We often see most of them in most of our photos!)?
This photo was most likely created by having a person stick their head out the side of a train as the photographer does as well in front of them to snap the picture. I see the elements of line almost immediately. The lines from the railroad tracks are the most obvious. They are going from the middle to the outer left edge, giving this photograph an amazing perspective. I am very impressed with this photographer. Secondly, I see the telephone wire lines in the sky and the lines from the windows framing the man's face. I also see lines from where the picture was blurred, almost as if the train was going very fast when the photo was taken.

Warm Up #31
A lot of magazines are trying to use more realistic and natural photos, however many magazines still use extreme Photoshopping for their ads and covers. What do you think of this practice? What do you think it says to consumers?
I think that magazines should use everyday folk to model for them. When little girls and boys are constantly hounded by images of peoples bodies that seem to be almost possible to obtain, it can lead to bad habits, eating disorders, depression, and in extreme cases suicide. I think that they need to start showing everyone that there is more than one way to look "beautiful" and that we all don't necessarily need to be a size zero or be skinny to the bone to be desired. I think that using as much photoshop as they do, it tells the consumers that we aren't good enough to have our "real" bodies shown to the public and that we need to be "perfected" and touched up because the way that we are isn't good enough.

Warm Up #32
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would want to go somewhere that is far away from civilization. Somewhere that is hidden away in the mountains or in some remote beach or plain. I would want to go to a place like this because its good to get away from everything for a while. Its good to distance yourself from everyone and to just relax for as long as possible before entering back into society.
But if I had to choose a specific place to travel to, I would pick Massachusetts. I have family there and it is an all-out beautiful place. It is also full of history and historic parks and places. There are new things to see every day. I wouldn't mind spending a little extra time there.

Warm Up #33
Which images do you like (choose 5) and how do you think they were created?

I think that their pictures were created by allowing the shutter speed to be longer, twenty to thirty seconds. Then they would have had to make sure that not too much light was allowed through by commentating with the aperture. Then it would have to be dark for this kind of photography to even work at all. I believe that each picture took a while to take. The light painting isn't something that can be done in a single shot or minute for that matter. I like the idea that these pictures made all similar circular designs.

Warm Up #34

Google Image search "light painting." Find 3 examples you like and include them in your post. What do you like about them? How do you think they were created?

I liked these three pictures of light painting. I like the first one because it has such an interesting connotation to it. When I say it I immediately thought of a rebellious child doing something that he really shouldn't be. It reminded me of when I would do things that I really shouldn't have done but it was so fun that I didn't even care to be in trouble. I like the second because it's just something so simplistic and yet it makes me smile every time that I look at it. I think that it's those small little things that can make everything worth it in the end. I finally like the third one because it's just so freeing to see that image even if her wings are only a trick of the light. I think that they were

Warm Up#35
What did you do over the long weekend?
On Friday, I slept in. I hadn't been feeling very well and I had to work late Thursday night so that morning I slept in. I then proceeded to stay home all day and relax mostly. I had to work that night. However, I was told that a very close family friend had passed away and on top of that I got a write up at work over some money issues. It was humiliating but I cried a little in front of my managers. They probably understood but it was still sooooooo embarrassing. Saturday, I woke up early because it just feels weird for me to sleep in too much. Later that day I went to do an escape room with my family and the other people who signed up to do it. I hated that mom spent money on me to go and do it but it was actually sort of fun. We then went out to dinner ar Souplantaion. Sunday I had to work from 9:30 to 3:30 but it wasn't as bad as I had feard that it was going to be.

Warm Up #36
Whats your favourite thing about living in San Diego?
My favourite thing about living in San Diego would have to be the beautiful views that we are blessed to have every morning and evening when the sun is rising and setting. I like being able to wake up and be greeted with a pink and purple and red sky blazing overhead. I also like to have so many beaches available within a 20-minute drive from my house. I have always loved going to the beach and to the bay and the tide pools and to have so many options at m disposal is wonderful. Another thing that I enjoy would have to be the temperatures and the weather. We are known for our sunny beaches and mild temperatures here in Sunny Southern San Diego. I am so thankful that we do not have to deal with snow and sleet and excessive rain and very high temperatures and snowstorms and dust storms and everything else that a lot of our states have to deal with.

Warm Up #37
Choose 5 Social Issue ideas and brainstorm how you might go about taking or creating photos.
Tell me: 1. Social Issue 2. What you would take photos of. 3. How you would take the photos, or how you would create the photos. 4. Why you would be interested in taking these photos.

1. Body Image: A person who hates their body and pokes awn grabs at it, people holding signs, someone who has a full plate in front of them but doesn't eat any of it
2. Mental Illness: Descriptions of what kinds of mental illnesses there are, pictures of the names of mental illnesses, pictures o what its like to live with these kinds of diseases
3. Abortion: What is it, why people are against it, why religion is against it and why it should ultimately be up to the woman
4. Slut-shaming: "Scandalous" pictures, girls trying to be provocative, a girl wearing a conservative short nets fishnets underneath
5. Gender identity: LGBTQ+ representation, people looking in the mirror, some are  happy and some arent

Warm Up #38
What is this project about? Scroll through the photos. Which photo and/or photographer did you enjoy the most? Why?This project is about taking pictures of famous photographers who are holding their most famous pictures. It might also be about making sure that each photographer gets the credit that they deserve. My famous photographer and their picture would be Karen Kuehn and “Cats Story”. This is because I loved the way that she was pictured with her photograph set in front of her almost like it was a mirror showing another side to her. I love pictures such as these that contain almost an optical illusion. I liked the way that her picture just fit so nicely into the photo that has both her and her piece in it.

Warm Up #39

If you could be any animal what would you be?
If I could be any animal, I would want to be a dog. A pet that has the ability to bring peace and happiness to those who are around me. I love being able to make those around me happy and content and being a dog would be the exact fit for me to do that. This is also because I would love the opportunity to sleep all day, eat almost everything and be smothered with kisses. I would have the freedom to do anything and I wouldn't have the restraint of school or work or other people in my way. I would also love to be able to have a better sense of smell. That way, the food would be that more appetizing.

Warm Up #40
Check out these two blog posts about taking portraits. Not all of them will apply to what we are doing. Write down ten things you think might be helpful when trying to photograph your subject’s emotions.
Ten Things That Might Be Helpful When Trying To Photograph A Subjects Emotion
1. Play With Eye
Contact: have your subject looking off camera, or down.
2. Experiment With Expression: experiment with different moods and emotions.
3. Shoot Candidly: Some of the best emotions come from spur of the moment pictures.
4. Take a Series of Shots: you most likely will not get it right on the first try, so take multiple images to choose from.
5. Change the Colouring to Black and White: It Eliminates the distraction of colour and puts an emphasis on the subject's expression
6. Eyes: They have been called the "windows into the soul" and focusing on the eyes can convey a lot of emotion in certain pictures.
7. Anticipate a "Moment": Again, many of the best shots come from expecting the unexpected, so always have the camera ready to shoot.
8. Photograph Moments Between Poses: When your subject is changing position, that is also a very good time to photograph them because that is a moment when they are revealing their true self.
9. Props: Most people relax when a prop is introduced so play around with different props that can help emphasize the emotion that you want to capture.
10. It Doesn't Always Have To Be Perfect: Many emotions are messy and a mix of many different things so don't be afraid to "get your hands dirty" and play around with multiple emotions that are very close to one another.

Warm Up #41
You don’t have to look at all of these portraits but look at a variety. Choose three bloggers who you feel showcased a variety of emotions well. And tell me why.
Also, some photos were posted as a group, and some were posted individually. Do you think the way the photos were presented added to the overall feeling of the photos?
I fell like Brandon, Elaina, and Hugo all showcased the emotions well in their pictures. I think that is because they chose very expressive models to photograph. I also belive that they directed their specimen with well enough instruction so that they could convey their emotions across. I do think that they way the photos are presented impcts the overall feeling of a pictures ompact. I htink that when the pictures are black and white its more real, it feels trhat much more dramatic. ai also feel like it deoends on the emotiosn as to wheter or not it shouldbe taken as a group or an individual. I also believe that the distance between the subject and the camera plays a very important role in how much emphasis is placed on the emotion that the photographer is trying to capture.
